This pattern is a tribute my eldest daughter, Rosa. It felt fitting to craft a design as timeless and exquisite as her name. Rosa's love for all things floral served as the muse for this pattern. The focal point of this pattern is, undoubtedly, the rose - a symbol of love, grace, and enduring elegance.
The hand-drawn design seeks to capture the essence of an era long past. Drawing inspiration from the woodblock floral prints of the 1940s, this pattern embraces imperfections, allowing the charm of the handmade to shine through.
The deliberate choice of a pattern with roses reflects the timeless femininity that Rosa embodies. There is a gentle beauty that mirrors the grace and strength that define Rosa. Each bloom is a chapter in the story of her life - a narrative woven with love, care, and the joyous memories are shared beneath the petals.
As I illustrated this pattern it evoked the same warmth and tenderness that Rosa has brought into my life. The pattern is also a reflection of a mother's love, and a celebration of the unique qualities that make Rosa the extraordinary person that she is.
