Rachel moved more into illustration as a medium and took the pandemic period to gain more skills in illustration so that she could incorporate it more into her designs. She took further training and gained more diplomas in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design. She also also studied Project Management and gained her Prince2 Project Management qualification in 2021. She spent the pandemic lockdown studying and working on creating a whole new collection of Pattern designs, She re-designed and rebuilt her own (this) website and then set about launching and building a brand new website, with new branding and completely new designs, which would separate her designs business from her online shop. Autumn 2022 sees the launch of Boom Folk a redesigning of Rachel Goodchild Design, as well as an upgrade to the email subscription site: Boom-card.
