I am a designer who creates surface pattern design and graphic design, and I have been creating designs for licensing and commission since 2001. I love my work and have been fortunate enough to work with a wide range of companies including Charbonnel et Walker, The Art Fund, Warner Textile Archive and Paul Smith for Leica. Over the years, my designs have been featured in The Sunday Times Style Magazine, Homes and Antiques Magazine, Country Living Magazine, The Telegraph, Country Homes & Interiors, to name a few. (For more: my press page is here).

From 2015 to todate: I am currently working as a self employed designer working on both Surface Pattern and Graphic Design on various projects. I currently handle all design & branding for Bristol Symphony Orchestra, alongside many other design projects and commissions. My passion still lies in creating patterns for products (see my Surface Pattern Page: here). I also set up and run an e-card site www.boom-card.com, which I really enjoy creating for. Originally set up in 2010, the newly rebranded Boom-Card goes from strength to strength.

From 2001 to 2015: As well as designing for companies, I also ran my own online stationery shop, publishing my own gift packaging and stationery - selling to trade and retail, nationally and internationally (including USA, Europe and Australia). During this time, I created hundreds of designs, mastered Adobe Creative suite, managed print runs, dealt with stock, built websites and online shops, exhibited at trade shows and carried out my own marketing and PR. In 2015 I moved away from stock handling and and selling towards licensing and commission work. (My portfolio page is here).

From 1980 - 2001: My background was originally in teaching. I trained as a Montessori teacher in Berkeley, California, USA (Montessori Teaching Diploma 3-6 years), and then in London (Montessori Teaching Diploma 6-12 years). I spent many happy years working creatively with children in schools in Californian and Bristol. In 1998 I set up and ran an IT department for a Bristol school. It was after the birth of my second child, in 2000, that I set up my business in order to work creatively from home.

I am the daughter of parents who met at art college and a mother of two talented young women. I have been happily married to my husband, William, since 1990. I practice yoga regularly and have done so for the past 30 years. I love walking. I am a keen photographer and blogger, writing regularly on design, creatively recycling and company branding. I live in Bristol, England.

I designed and ran a series of workshops for companies. Having started out as a packaging designer, one of my favourite quotes was, it's all about the packaging. I find, this can be quite relevent for most businesses today. Your packaging is also your company branding - how you look to the outside world. In 2012 I became so interested by company packaging that I began creating a series of workshops which later became known as 'The Art Of' series of workshops. I ran these for many years, but now only really work with individuals and groups via arrangement.
